Aircraft Quality Control Manager

Details: Job Classification: Direct Hire •*********This job is located in Fort Worth, TX***********Aircraft Quality Control Manager The Aircraft Quality Control Manager is responsible to the Program Manager for performing duties assigned. Exercises independent judgment and possesses abilities sufficient to supervise. Employee consults with the Program Manager where departures from standard practices are involved. This position is a full time responsibility and must be located at the main operating site, the Aviation Operations Center (AOC) at Alliance Airport, Fort Worth, Texas. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties:Responsible for both aircraft and avionics quality control inspectors and technical publications matters and furnishes professional advice concerning such matters to the Program Manager.Participates, as member of the management team, in formulating and establishing organizational policies and operating procedures for the company.Directs and manages the execution of all inspection activities, takes steps to prevent or correct disruption caused by personnel availability, failure due to machinery, tools, materials, or changes in schedule.Assures inspection actions are performed according to specific technical guidance presented in aircraft or system maintenance manuals, repair station manual, or other technical publications. Directs standard industry practice where no specific guidance exists.Ensures compliance with procedures and practices required to maintain FAA Repair Station Certification.Recommends contract modifications and policies and procedures to increase overall efficiency.Resolves any conflicts, discrepancies or omissions in technical guidance.Establishes a non-hazardous work environment conductive to the safety and well being of all employees. Ensures compliance with company and contract policies and procedures and Ethical programs. Monitor the scheduling of vacations and time off for subordinates. Review the performance of subordinates and participate in decisions concerning their wage adjustment and discipline. Able to work any assigned shift or schedule, including mission support outside normal duty hours and travel as required supporting mission requirements.Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Shall hold a valid certificate issued by the FAA with both airframe and power plant ratings with an Inspection Authorization. Minimum of ten (10) years extensive experience in the type aircraft and power plant maintenance and repair support required for the customer's designated aircraft inventory.Minimum of five (5) of the ten years experience in a supervisory position in a quality control program at the level of making airworthiness decisions.Must be formally trained and familiar with the type aircraft for which he/she has responsibility.KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS The following skills and abilities are required:Must have good communication skills.Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio and percent in problem analysis and independent decision making.Must be able to synthesize and retain information and make decisions according to standard policies and procedures.Must be able to prioritize tasks.Must be able to create, enter, retrieve and print from software packages such as; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance from the Department of DefenseMust be able to maintain in force a valid driver's license.Successful completion of a Department of Justice security clearance will be required prior to employment.Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.US Citizenship RequiredJoin Aerotek Aviation®LLC.
